Experience

At the beginning of his career Jiří Holoubek worked as a designer and later as an independent development worker at Elektromontážní závody Praha. From 1985 to 1992 he was an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Technology in Brno, Czech Republic.

In 1990, he co-founded ELCOM, which specializes in industrial automation, measuring systems and high voltage electrical engineering. Within the company he held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors until 2018, when the majority of ELCOM was acquired by CEIP.

Jiří Holoubek continues to cooperate with ELCOM as an experienced consultant.

At the same time, he is a statutory director of LJ FUTURE a.s., a company focusing on the digital transformation of SME companies and on monitoring and quality testing.

Since 2012, he has also been President of the Electrotechnical Association of the Czech Republic and in 2014 he became a member of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, where he is responsible for Industry 4.0 activities. Among others, he cooperates with the faculties of electrical engineering at Czech and Slovak Universities and he also contributes to the popularization of the Industry 4.0 concept within secondary schools.

Education

Jiří Holoubek successfully graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Technology in Brno.
