German company Gersys becomes part of AMiT Transportation
German company Gersys GmbH, based in Wolfratshausen near Munich, is becoming part of AMiT Transportation, a company from the CEIP portfolio. Gersys is a leading supplier of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems for train drivers and onboard electronics for railway and rail vehicles.
This acquisition represents an important step in strengthening AMiT's position in the European railway market while also representing an investment in people, expertise and a shared vision for the future of rail transport.
“This acquisition confirms the CEIP fund's strategy of focusing on Czech companies operating in demanding Western European markets and acquiring companies there that have the potential to strengthen our existing projects and create synergies with a pan-European ambition. The growth of our companies through acquisitions, their subsequent integration and the realisation of synergies represent one of the key pillars of value creation for our fund. The example of AMiT also demonstrates the quality of our operating team's work, as the company has been growing organically by 20% per year since the fund's acquisition. For our third fund, we therefore plan to invest larger amounts than in the previous two funds, enabling us to broaden our investment scope and pursue larger-scale projects,” says Ondřej Benáček, Managing Partner of CEIP.
